PSL Score ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our facial analysis application.

Photos

When you use PSL Score, you upload photos for facial analysis. These images are processed by our AI system to generate your analysis report.

Account Information (Optional)

If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. Account creation is optional and not required to use the app.

Analysis Reports

We store analysis reports to allow you to access them later. Reports include scores, measurements, and recommendations generated by our AI.

Device and User Identifiers

We generate a non-identifying device identifier to associate analyses with your device. If you create an account, we assign a user identifier to organize your reports and account settings. These identifiers are not linked to your real-world identity and are used solely for app functionality.

PSL Score analyzes facial photographs to generate aesthetic scores. Here's how we handle this sensitive data:

What We Collect

• Facial photographs you upload

How It's Used

• Solely to generate your one-time analysis report
• We do NOT use face data for facial recognition or identification
• We do NOT use your photos to train AI models

Third-Party Processing

Photos are sent to Google Gemini AI, a third-party AI service provided by Google, for analysis. Google processes the image and returns results immediately. Google does not retain your photos after processing.

Google Gemini AI maintains industry-standard data protection and security measures equivalent to or exceeding our own. Your photos are transmitted securely via encrypted connections and are not used by Google to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing the analysis results to our service.

Storage and Retention

Photos are stored in Supabase cloud storage. Analysis reports are stored in our database. Data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion.

Deletion

You can delete any individual report — including the uploaded photo — directly from that report's screen at any time, even without an account. You can also delete your account and all associated data directly in the app. Alternatively, contact [email protected] for data deletion requests.

Your photos and reports are stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for data storage, which employs robust security measures including encrypted connections and secure data centers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your photos or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI (by Google) - For facial analysis processing. Photos are sent to Google's API for analysis. Google does not retain photos after processing and provides equivalent data protection standards.
• Supabase - For secure data storage and user authentication.
• Mixpanel - For product analytics (see Analytics section below).

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics in order to improve the app experience and understand how features are used. Mixpanel acts as a data processor on our behalf.

Data Collected

• Usage events (app opens, feature usage, purchase events)
• Device type and operating system version
• Approximate location (city and country, derived from your IP address — your IP address itself is not stored by Mixpanel)

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or any other advertising identifiers
• Analytics data is not linked to your photos, analysis reports, or real-world identity

Legal Basis

Under the GDPR, we rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis for product analytics. This data helps us understand usage patterns, diagnose issues, and improve the app for all users.

Data Deletion

If you would like your analytics data deleted, please contact [email protected] and we will process your request.

Your photos and reports are retained until you delete them. You can delete any individual report and its photo from the report screen at any time, even without an account. You can also delete your account directly in the app, which removes all your data including photos and analysis reports. PSL Score is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
